Senior Partnering Consultant with Impact 21 Group, LLC, is Owner/Managing Director of McKenzie Consulting Group. With over 20 years experience working at a leading c-store chain and another nine spent in consulting, Casey has experienced almost all facets of the c-store channel of trade, including finance, operations, category management, re-engineering and strategic planning.
In conjunction with Willard Bishop Consulting, Ltd, Casey was a co-author of the National Association of Convenience Stores' (NACS) Category Management Guidebook and has served as facilitator for workshops on category management throughout the country. Casey has been a featured speaker on this topic at the annual NACS convention and several state trade association meetings. Casey has also worked on the activity based costing model project known as C/SCAPEā¢, co-sponsored by the National Association of Convenience Stores and the American Wholesale Marketers Association and has conducted numerous training workshops around the United States. He served as project manager and co-author on the NACS Marketing Toolkit for Store Operations and is developed a training workshop on that material. Most recently, Casey has developed the Advanced Category Management training workshop curriculum and co-lead sessions around the US.
In addition to his focus on category management initiatives, Casey has served as project manager for convenience store chains implementing retail automation and worked on numerous projects with leading packaged goods manufacturers and supermarket chains. His work has included clients and projects in Canada, Mexico, and Ireland. Casey earned a BA in Business from Ohio University and completed his MBA at Eastern Kentucky University. He resides in Lexington, KY.
