Chuck Young is CIO & General Manager with Impact 21 Group and has over 20 years of experience in the petroleum / convenience retail industry. Chuck has been working with large petroleum retailers to select and implement new payment platforms and Point of Sale (POS) upgrades within all channels of trade. He has also been working with large and small convenience chains to integrate technologies and automated processes into their business model. He has recently completed projects including requirements analysis & solution sourcing for POS, Back-office and Home Office hardware and software, deployment initiatives including a credit network transition, gap analysis projects for retailers and software providers, and an ongoing modeling/analysis program for the franchise network of a major oil company.
Chuck was formerly POS Coordinator and Retail Automation Manager with SuperAmerica Group, a division of Ashland, Inc. He was responsible for coordinating product rollouts and development for POS and back office systems. He coordinated the staging, training and installation of hardware and software upgrades for pay at the pump, KRONOS time keeping and payroll system, various Branded Fast Food units, VSAT communication technologies, and electronic credit and check verification. Chuck also assisted the coordination of integrating JDA Pricebook and accounting functions with the store back office computer and the definition and maintenance of merchandising and accounting policies and procedures. He assisted with development of device integration for lottery, customer loyalty and gift certificates. Chuck was a POS Integration Team member with the joint venture of Speedway and SuperAmerica and evaluated the POS options between Bennett and Radiant Systems for the newly formed company. Chuck has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
